Today, almost every National winning Arabian and Half-Arabian English horse in the Country descends from stallions managed and promoted by Lasma or LaCroix. And, almost every stallion siring National winning English horses also descends from those stallions of the Lasma era. It is a long, successful history of which the LaCroixs are extremely proud.
There are several essential keys to the successful selection and promotion of a breeding stallion. First, the stallion manager must have the ability to recognize the horse’s potential. Next this manager must be able to assist mare owners with proper mating selections. Finally, the manager must be able to provide training and marketing opportunities from which the breeders can reap the best possible benefits.
The LaCroixs remain steadfast in their ideals. They’ll only stand stallions that––crossed with the Arabian, American Saddlebred or Dutch Harness horses mares––will sire horses that can compete successfully on the highest levels of their respective disciplines.
They’ll keep in mind today’s economic conditions for the breeder. The stud fees will always be reasonable to allow breeders a lower cost basis and a good opportunity to realize good returns.
Horses sired by LaCroix stallions will always get priority in private treaty or other marketing events sponsored and/or managed by LaCroix.
An International market for superior Saddle Seat type horses is beginning to evolve. History will show that LaCroix and its breeding associates were at the forefront of this evolution.
Over the next few years, breeders will be able to find at LaCroix outstanding stallions for the breeding of purebred and/or crossbred Arabians, Dutch Harness Horses and American Saddlebreds.
